Jeff Purser

Jeff Purser

Jeff Purser comes from a Corporate Sales & Marketing background. He spent time as Marketing Manager at Optus Vision Pay TV, during its start up phase in 1995, leaving as he was seconded to the ARL as Sponsorship Manager during the tumultuous Super League days.

Later Jeff joined SOCOG (Sydney Olympics) to become Business Development Manager, helping to finance the successful Sydney Olympics in 2000. His success in raising finance saw him offered the position of Sales & Marketing Director at South Sydney RLFC (The Rabbitohs), where Jeff was instrumental in fighting for their re-inclusion into the NRL, after being thrown out of the competition.

In 2002 Jeff entered the Film Industry and was successful in being part of the production team responsible for raising the finance and distribution for FAT PIZZA: THE MOVIE, which was to become one of the most commercially successful Australian films released in 2003. Additionally, in 2005 Templar films produced the low budget supernatural thriller SHADOW OF SINS.

In late 2006, Templar entered into a diversification process & made an entry into the Domestic and International Television market by shooting the TV Series – CLUBLIFE TV (Channel V May 2008), and LOVE YOUSE ALL (Channel 9/Fox Sports/Main Event June 2008). 2008 has also seen Templar diversify into the corporate/trade delivering work to organizations such as Paramount Australia, and Women’s Cricket Australia.

2009 will see the release of the much anticipated feature film CEDAR BOYS, starring Rachael Taylor and Martin Henderson. The film will be distributed by Mushroom Pictures and was financed by the Australian Film Commission, The NSW FTO and private investors.

Ranko Markovic

Ranko Markovic

Ranko Markovic comes from a property development and investment background, which over the years ran a property development company and his own property investment company Oxfords Investment Solutions. He spent time in that industry as project manager and investment consultant.

Later Ranko studied Film at various institutions like AFTRS and Metroscreen Film College, completing some short films and TV pilots & produced the supernatural psychological thriller, Shadow Of Sins in 2005.

In 2005, Ranko & Jeff established Templar Films. The aim of Templar Films in those early days was to focus on projects with micro to low budgets to make the fund-raising more realistic and achievable - at the same time, these projects are selected for their commercial potential to maximize the prospects of recouping the budgets and turning a profit. In 2005 Templar films produced the low budget supernatural thriller SHADOW OF SINS.

Edward Berridge

Edward Berridge is an experienced writer for the screen and page. He is the author of the 2005 Templar Films psychological thriller, Shadow of Sins and has four other scripts, including Godless, currently in development with the backing of the Australian Film Commission.

He has had one book of short stories, The Lives of the Saints, published by the University of Queensland Press, and was previously a regular commentator for Black & White and Studio For Men magazines covering pop culture and social trends. He is also a former TV critic for the Sydney Morning Herald, and has written for the Shopfront Theatre for Young People.
